As an American Donald Duck and comic book fan, I've always been envious of all the Donald Duck comics the Europeans get while we Americans are left in the lurch. We have the Carl Barks and Don Rosa stuff, but Europe is still getting all-new Donald Duck comics every month. I've been hoping and wishing for a legal way to procure an English translation of the Paperinik comics, but so far, there's only been a fan translation that I'm pretty sure is no longer available. They kinda remind me, from how they are described, of the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Which sounds friggin awesome. As it stands, though. Anyway, I love this art. Keep up the good work.

There is such a divide on how the West treats Donald Duck over the East. Disney's Magical Quest 3 is a perfect comparison, where Donald is seen dressed in a barrel and a cooking pot, and this is his official knight armor, as opposed to several European comics that depict him dressed as an actual knight. I've seen him dressed as a superhero, soccer sports star, secret agent, and various other jobs, where here he is seen as only means of slapstick. A lot of Paperinik comics I only obtained by purchasing them from an Italian vender over ebay, and paying through the teeth to have it shipped over. They are constantly making tons of comics and producing lots of toys over there. I'm definitely envious of the kids there who can get access to all of these things. Duck Avenger is slowly getting recognition over the states, as I have been seeing some English publications of his newer adventures. Still, it is a shame there there is so many Disney Comics that will never get localized in the states. I can kind of see the comparison to Sonic with the new PK stuff, aliens, sci fi tech, robots, and the dialogue is very heavy. Glad to see there are Paperinik fans out there that are wanting to see more of him!

Yay! Retro-style science fiction FTW!

MondoBilby responds:

Yesss, nothing beats retro sci-fi!!

I'm reading the manga currently, and everything about it makes me smile. And so does this.

DANMAKUMAN responds:

Thanks!

I’ve noticed you’ve sometimes put Effie and Arthur in respective 1980s era biker punk and cop attire in some of your artworks. Could that or would that possibly become a thing later in the future? Because that would be friggin epic, I think.

KingSuSArt responds:

Not really, I just randomly made up Modern Designs for em

This ad is pretty snazzy. I love it. I’m kinda on a bit of a pre-1998 Apple Computer kick, what with just buying a book all about the Apple II and always binging RetroMacCast and and buying a whole coffee table book about Macintosh gaming and what-have-you. Did you model this after an existing ad? I do so hope you make more ads like this. Very cool. Love your art.

WonderSluggy responds:

Thanks a lot! I didn't really base this off of any one ad, just tried to make something fun based on a bunch of different ads I've seen. I did base the computer very heavily off of the first macintosh computers, though in-universe the specs would probably be on par with an early to mid 90's machine. I do plan on doing more of these in the future, maybe do slightly different eras of advertising, and I do have another one that ill post later when I wake up lol

Yay audio dramas for the win! Is Paul Williams or someone like him gonna be the villain? How much of it, if any, is done?

adoggoart responds:

Its a secret about the VAs for now, but I'm so happy you are looking out for it! Its currently all done, clocking in at 30 minutes right now, and will be on my YouTube Channel "Sleggarlawlz". I'll link it when the rendering is done and send it your way! Thanks so much!

Please please please make something with this. I love this and I’d love to see a story behind this. I’m just aching in my soul for more furry westerns. There’s not enough of them and I desperately wish there were.

Titanogoro responds:

my friend i've got all that and more in store for these characters, trust.

I want to shoot the whole day down, Garfield.

Me too, Jon.

Also, good work.

gloomygvrl666 responds:

thanks :3

Oh, to be stuck between giant Fuji-cakes’ giant Fuji-cakes. Wouldn’t that be a dream come true.

adoggoart responds:

I think so! Thanks for viewing :D

I watched this movie in the theaters with my partner. He did not like it, but I absolutely loved it. It was so weird and wonderful and a joy and marvel to look at. After it was over, there was another couple, a boy and a girl, who saw the movie as well and the boy asked my partner and I what we thought of the movie. He asked what we thought it meant. I responded that any interpretation would be a good interpretation. It's kind of like "Eraserhead" in that regard, I said to him. "Oh, I love 'Eraserhead!'" he said. Anyway, this is some top notch artwork and I love it. I actually wouldn't mind playing a whole Game Boy game based on The Lighthouse if it were presented in this style. Good stuff. Keep it up.

JohnnyUtah responds:
